Polarized Inspired Look

I really like soft retro/polaroid inspired pictures so I've been practicing editing to get that same feel for my photos. Here are just a few that I've done so far. What do you think? I really want to get better so I can start selling some pics. Anywho...hope u all enjoy

A weekend in Asheville, NC...It's so lovely up here =) These were taken at the West Asheville Farmers Marke, my friend Meghan and I had a lot of fun shooting up here.

 

Art Pool Gallery Trashion Fashion Show III

I had a really nice time at this downtown event. It was my first time attending a Marina Williams party. So my friend and I get there and find out the show is going to be held outside! loL the only problem we had with that was that it was 90 something degrees out; other than that everything was great. The band, the models, and the designers. EXCEPT for the fact that 2min before the show started the batteries in my flash gun died on me =( so the pictures didn't turn out as well as I'd like but you live and learn, right? That was my lesson learned.

I've only recently stumbled across her work, however she has been in the business for quite some time. NYC

So this is just a quick post, I'm getting ready for bed, but here are a few pics I took while in the city this past weekend.

So no, it was nothing like I wanted, but I haven't even edited the photo yet. I'm pretty tired and when I flew back into FL yesterday I had to jump right back into work and class. Just busy! =/

I just bought a nikon 35mm dx because of the 1.8 f-stop. I'm going to NY this week and I want to produce a picture like this one! Of course I know there are tips, tricks and techniques to doing this along with having such a large aperture. I guess we'll see how it goes when I get up there. Unfortunately I won't be bringing my tripod (too much stuff to carry - after all I am going up there to shop loL!) so the likely hood of my photo turning out well is slim but we'll see. I'm excited and can't wait to try out my new lens for night photography.
